A visit to Poznań-Ławica Airport in Poland offered first-hand insights into hydrogen technologies and their potential to support more sustainable airport operations.
ATENA joined fellow HySpark project partners for a visit to H2@Ławica, a pilot initiative at Poznań-Ławica Airport in Poland exploring the potential of hydrogen technologies in the aviation sector.
During the visit, participants observed a hydrogen-powered forklift in operation and learned about the workings of an electrolyser, gaining a closer understanding of hydrogen production and its practical applications in an airport environment.
The visit provided an opportunity to explore how hydrogen solutions could contribute to more sustainable airport operations and the broader decarbonisation of transport. Seeing these technologies in action helped connect discussions about innovation with practical examples of their use.
The experience also offered a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange among partners involved in European hydrogen projects. Sharing expertise, experiences and best practices across initiatives is essential to advancing hydrogen technologies, encouraging their wider adoption and supporting the energy transition.
