HyBike

HyBike is the pedal-assist electric bicycle that achieves ranges over 120 km thanks to an innovative energy system with hydrogen-powered fuel cells. Such high performance is unattainable with traditional batteries.

Hydrogen is stored in metal hydride cartridges that can absorb it at low pressure and fix it within the hydride’s crystalline structure, ensuring safety standards superior to any other system.

Metal hydride cartridges allow for over 1,000 recharge cycles and total ranges exceeding 120,000 km. Hydrogen can be produced using a small electrolyzer powered by a photovoltaic panel, making the entire supply chain sustainable.

HyBike has been produced in three versions:

The Touring is a leisure bike equipped with a pedal motion sensor that ensures maximum comfort and minimal effort.

The Sport MB250 is a mountain bike featuring a pedal torque sensor that modulates the electric power output based on the force applied to the pedal.

The Sport MB500 is almost a mini scooter with a manual control that regulates pedal assistance. This version features a hybrid power unit where the fuel cell is used to increase the range and extend the life of the lithium batteries. In the Sport versions, a “hydrogen refill” can be done in just a few seconds by simply replacing the cartridges.
