HyBike
HyBike is an electric pedal-assisted bicycle that can cover more than 100 km thanks to an innovative energy system with hydrogen fuel cells. Such high performance is unattainable with traditional batteries.
The hydrogen is contained in metal hydride cartridges that are able to absorb it at low pressure and fix it in the crystalline structure of the hydride, ensuring superior safety standards to any other system.
The hydride cartridges allow more than 1,000 charge cycles and a total distance of over 120,000 km. Hydrogen can be produced with a small electrolyser powered by a photovoltaic panel, making the whole supply chain sustainable.

There are three versions of HyBike::
Touring is a walking bike and has a motion detector on the pedals that guarantees maximum comfort and minimum effort;
Sport MB250 is a mountain bike with a torque sensor that determines how much juice to feed the motor based on how hard the rider is pedalling;
Sport MB500 is almost a mini scooter with manual control that regulates pedal assistance. This version has a hybrid power unit in which the fuel cell is used to increase the autonomy and life of lithium batteries. In the Sport versions, filling up the tank with hydrogen can take a few seconds by simply replacing the cartridges.

An electric pedal-assisted bicycle for sustainable mobility
HyBike è stata realizzata in tre versioni:
la Touring è una bici da passeggio e monta un sensore di movimento sui pedali che garantisce il massimo comfort e il minimo sforzo;
la Sport MB250 è una mountain bike con un sensore di coppia al pedale che modula la potenza elettrica erogata in funzione dello sforzo applicato al pedale;
la Sport MB500 è quasi un miniscooter con comando manuale che regola l’assistenza alla pedalata. Questa versione monta una power-unit ibrida nella quale la cella a combustibile viene utilizzata per aumentare l’autonomia e la vita delle batterie al litio. Nelle versioni Sport, il “pieno di idrogeno” può essere effettuato anche in pochi secondi, sostituendo semplicemente le cartucce.
