The European ALRIGH2T project has reached a key mid-term milestone with the M24 General Assembly, held in Naples at the headquarters of ATENA Future Technology. The meeting provided a strategic forum for project partners to assess the technical progress achieved to date and to define the next operational phases of the project.

After two years of activity, ALRIGH2T has achieved significant progress in the development of liquid hydrogen (LH₂) refuelling technologies for aviation, in the planning of demonstration activities, and in safety and regulatory analyses. Particular attention has been devoted to the preparation of the future operational demonstration at Milan Malpensa Airport, one of the project’s main case studies.

During the assembly, the results of technical and techno-economic analyses on hydrogen supply options were presented, highlighting the potential of integrated and flexible solutions to support the introduction of zero-emission aircraft. In parallel, safety-related activities, including HAZID workshops, are contributing to the definition of robust operational frameworks aligned with future European regulatory requirements.

As the project enters its second half, ALRIGH2T strengthens its role in Europe’s transition towards sustainable aviation, laying the groundwork for safe, scalable LH₂ refuelling solutions ready for adoption at the airports of the future.
