Germany opens its 92nd hydrogen refuelling station

Germany’s 92nd hydrogen refuelling station is open for business, moving the country closer to its goal of having 100 stations by the middle of 2021.This latest station has been opened today (30th March) by Total, Air Liquide, Linde and H2 Mobility Deutschland, and is located in Saarbrücken.

ENZA is a coalition of 17 European associations listed below, representing a myriad of economic sectors – from industry to buildings, mobility, forestry and agriculture – and different energy vectors – namely liquid and gaseous fuels, heat, and power. The members of these organisations are committed to climate neutrality following the “we can – we want – we will” approach.

Hydrogen Europe and T&E sign joint support letter for green hydrogen and ammonia for shipping

Hydrogen Europe and T&E sent a joint letter to Executive Vice-President Timmermans, Commissioner Valean, Commissioner Simson, and Commissioner Breton to express their support for the goals of the European Green Deal for shipping, notably the objectives to deploy sustainable alternative marine fuels/energy via a dedicated FuelEU Maritime initiative.

Tokyo Olympic Torch to be powered by hydrogen

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic torch, which began its 121-day relay from Naraha, Fukushima, is being powered by hydrogen in selected legs of the relay meaning there will be no carbon emissions from the torch itself.

Alstom is pursuing its strategy of sustainable development and innovation with the acquisition of Helion Hydrogen Power. This company is specialised in high power fuel cells, thus complementing Alstom’s expertise in hydrogen technology.

Plug Power and Universal Hydrogen have strengthened their industry relationship as part of an effort to make green hydrogen cost-competitive with jet fuel by 2025.

Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group complete creation of fuel-cell joint venture: cellcentric

A key goal of Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group is to start with customer tests of trucks with fuel-cells in about three years and to commence series production during the second half of this decade.
